COVER SHOOT :D

type='html'>
Ahhh this is probably the most exciting post Ive ever been able to make! I used to work as the photo editor of College Magazine and was asked by the current staff to shoot the November cover of NYU student/Wilhelmina model Ann Marie Nitti. The shoot happened in July and I've been waiting all these months to be able to post the picts and finally can because the print edition came out today! Read the article here.
 Ann Marie was actually so amazing to work with. Not only was she an exceptional model (I mean HELLO, the girls been featured in Maxim and Cosmo among others...!) but she was so incredibly kind. We had a two day shoot in NYC and really bonded while traveling subways and eating cupcakes in the city.
Here is what ran in the magazine (outtakes below!!) :

The mag looks so great and yes, I AM guilty of taking about 15 copies off the rack! Haha I can't help it, I'm just so excited and proud of my work :) Below are all of my favorite shots from the roll. I know there's a ton but they're all so great that it was too hard for me to narrow it down more!!

This is my favorite picture. If I got to choose the layout of the story, I totally would have ran this as a cutout with the text surrounding it! I think this picture perfectly describes Ann Marie. Shes gorgeous and equally as funny and fun-loving.
This is my FAVORITEEEEE. I fought hard to make this the cover shot but, unfortunately it didn't happen. However, how awesome is this shot? It's totally a perfect cover image for a college magazine that would cause any and all students to grab the mag and go "hmm who is this girl? I'm so interested in reading about her." I love!

love :)

These were shot at Gruppos in Alphabet City. It's Ann Marie's (and now mine!!) favorite pizza place in NYC. The hole-in-the-wall restaurant serves the most delicious "Shroomtown" pizza. The thin crust pie is made with shitake and portobello mushrooms, and then doused in truffle oil. YUM. I've been back about 4 times since Ann Marie took me there for the shoot! I highlyyyy recommend it to anyone in the city!

 Another Fave!

Haha Ann Marie literally changed in the middle of any and all NYC streets we found ourselves on. I not only played the part of photographer, I also sometimes had to be the human shield as she slipped on the next outfit.

Haha taking a little break...
Sharing the CRUMBS cupcake = the best part of our day!

 Ann Marie is a Model and a DJ - hence the multiple iPod shots!
